After the Resignation of Councillor Michael Rodgers Helen Hall to stand as Lib Dem Burton By-election Candidate.

Helen Hall is from Burton, and lives in the town centre. She is a businesswoman, and became involved in making a difference locally after establishing the Burton Belles Womens Institute in 2011. A year ago she was elected as a governor at her daughter's school. That experience has motivated her to take the next step of getting involved in the wider community by standing as a council election candidate. Helen said "I am looking forward to meeting residents during the campaign and hope they give me the chance to follow Michael Rodgers as Ward Councillor. Michael has set a high standard, keeping in touch with residents through newsletters and following up issues raised with him, where he was able to do so. I would like to work with residents to help make the Burton Ward a good place to live for families, while also looking after the interests of everyone who uses the town centre."

The by-election is on Thursday 16th February 2017.
