Paul Ray. A great local candidate

November 10, 2019 11:37 AM

Paul Ray 2019Paul Ray will represent the Liberal Democrats when voters go to the polls on 12th December. He previously stood for the Lib Dems at the General Election in 2015 and 2017.

A party spokesperson said his credentials where clear for all to see.

"Paul is a very active and committed councillor with a track record for taking time to deal with local residents' issues relating to planning, housing, public nuisance, traffic and road safety.

"The key wider issues affecting Lichfield and Burntwood that he campaigns on are the need to ensure that we have much more affordable housing in our area and that the cuts to the council's funding are applied fairly and do not hit disproportionately those who really rely on the council's services."

"Paul actively campaigns for better leisure facilities in our district for all, but in particular the young. He was a lead councillor involved in the successful campaign to stop the Conservative council in Lichfield from closing the Friary Grange Leisure Centre.

"Paul also has family members of the older generation living in Lichfield which means he has a good understanding of the issues affecting that part of the population."
