Helen Hall was re-elected in May 2019 with an increased majority as the East Staffordshire borough councillor for Burton Ward, covering Wetmore and the town centre. She is now deputy leader of the Independent Alliance Group, and as well as Value For Money she serves on the Licensing Committee. She can help you with parks, housing, environmental health, and other issues affecting safety and wellbeing in the local community. Helen became a councillor because she wants to make a contribution to the area. Her previous experiences running a Women's Institute group, and then becoming a school governor, inspired her to stand for election. She was first elected in February 2017, with 52% of the vote. She enjoys spending time on resident's casework, and representing them on the council. As a Liberal Democrat, her purpose is to serve the people of Burton Ward, and the wider borough, instead of focusing on party politics.
