Paul McDermott

Paul McDermott is originally from Manchester but has lived in Lichfield since 1974 where he has brought up 2 sons, both of whom still live in Staffordshire. A graduate in Paper Science for the last 28 years he has run his own business in the paper industry. He is a worship leader at Lichfield Methodist Church and treasurer for both the Tamworth and Lichfield group of Methodist churches and 1st Lichfield Boys' Brigade Company. His other interests include music and travel.

Although a LibDem voter for many years it was the result of the 2016 referendum that prompted him to join the party and in May 2019 he was elected to Lichfield City Council where he now sits on the Staffing and Grant Applications Committees and is Deputy Chair of the Markets Working Group.
