Summer Survey Results
Last summer and autumn we carried out a knock and drop survey to 20% 0f the ward in 6 different locations to gauge residents opinions on a variety of topics. Thank you to all those who responded. Locally the main concerns were 1) Road repairs and potholes. 2) Lack of City Centre development. 3) Crime.
Nationally the top three concerns were 1) NHS. 2) Jobs and the economy. 3) Climate Change.
Whilst only 6.5% of responders had been a victim of crime in answer to the question " How safe do you feel" people only rated it 4 out of 5.
Despite the fact that last year a band D house paid £248.57 towards Police costs 75% did not believe enough money was put to preventing crime.
All of the respondents comments were tabulated and showed the following main concerns.
The police should be more visible and should tackle anti social behaviour.
Getting around would be helped if there were better bus and transport services, more cycle lanes and improved pavements.
New housing being built but with a lack of infrastructure to support it and the need of more GP's in line with the increasing population.
