Miles Trent (Burntwood South)  served as a councillor on Lichfield City Council between 2019-2023; and has been an active and hard-working Councillor on Lichfield District Council since May 2023. He currently sits on the Overview and Scrutiny Committee at LDC.

Miles says, "I promise to be a confident voice for local people if elected to Staffordshire County Council, ensuring that their views are taken seriously by SCC and are acted upon.

"I will also work to promote fairness and decency in local politics, whilst working to address the challenges of the times: the cost of living, the crisis in our public services, and the climate emergency.  I am passionate about preserving a strong and effective public sector.

“Away from politics, I am married with two young children; and work as a criminal lawyer in the civil service.”
