Staffordshire County Council Elections – 1 May 2025

Welcome to the website of the Lichfield, Tamworth and Burton Liberal Democrats.

We cover the south-eastern part of Staffordshire including the three towns in our name, but also Burntwood, Uttoxeter and many villages, large and small.

What guides us? The purpose of all our Lib Dem policies is to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity. There's more information on this in What we stand for.   Find local news here  or on the separate Lichfield, Tamworth and Burton/East Staffs pages.

Taking on Trump

Only the Liberal Democrats will stand up to Trump, invest in the UK’s security, support Ukraine, hold back Russia, deepen our ties with European and commonwealth partners, and stand up for liberal, British values.

Free To Be Who You Are

As liberals, we believe that true equality is achieved when individuals are not only free from prejudice and discrimination, but also free to fulfil their potential. So fighting for LGBTQ+ rights is not a choice Liberals make.
